ERGO Marketing Data Hub

In order to improve the offering on our platforms and in marketing for you, among other things, and to understand the needs of our customers across channels, we use the proprietary solution "Marketing Data Hub". The data collected on our websites is used to create pseudonymous usage profiles. We use this information to control and optimize our marketing activities and for platform optimization through attribution (linking of data). For this purpose, the following information is collected, for example: ads seen and clicked, products, advertisements, number of visitors, topic of the page, offers created, contracts concluded, etc.

In addition, we store Click IDs (e.g. Google Click ID) in order to evaluate the success of our advertising campaigns. A partial sales value is assigned to a Click ID. The attributed sales value is played back to the advertising partner (e.g. Google) by means of the Click ID, in order to evaluate and optimize the placement of the advertisements.


Personal data is encrypted before we process the data. Thus, the pseudonymized usage profiles are not merged with personal data about you, i.e. the bearer of the pseudonym. The IP address transmitted by your browser is also not merged with the usage profiles. This solution does not set its own cookies. Existing cookies or, in the case of mobile devices, similar technologies are used to create the usage profiles. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is stored and processed exclusively in Germany. You can object to the collection and storage of data for the purpose of attribution and sales optimization at any time with effect for the future, and data will no longer be linked from this point on. Online data will then only be stored in anonymized form for statistical completeness.

Data collected

  • Personal identification information such as gender, zip code, and similar information. Information such as name, address, or the like, which allow an inference to you, are not collected.
  • Cookie ID, insurance policy number are pseudonymized after collection before further processing in the BackEnd and are then no longer traceable to you personally
  • Offer, application and contract data such as product name, contract status, premium, reasons for cancellation
  • Communication data: Information on communication by electronic mail, letter, telephone with insurance companies such as date, number, product, reason for communication
  • Socio-demographic data such as family situation (e.g. multi-person household)
  • Data from the use of our online services such as clicked ads on search engines and social networks, displayed and clicked banners of Group companies on third-party platforms, measurement of interactions on our platforms. Input such as in chat, bank data, etc., which allow a direct conclusion to you are not collected.
  • Collection of non-personalized advertising response data under a Click ID (eg Google Click ID)
